Tableau Software is an American software company headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It produces a family of interactive data visualization products focused on Business Intelligence (BI).
Tableau offers five main products: Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Online, Tableau Reader and Tableau Public. Tableau Public and Tableau Reader are free to use, while both Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop come with a 14-day fully functional free trial period, after which the user must pay for the software.

Tableau Reader is a free desktop application that can be used to interact with data visualizations built in Tableau Desktop. With Tableau Reader we can filter, drill down, and view data details as designed by the author. However, with Tableau Reader does not allow us to create or edit any data visualization project.
However, Tableau Public is free software that can allow anyone to connect to a spreadsheet or file and create interactive data visualizations for the web.
